Morse Air Systems become AMCA Members

AMCA Member

Morse Air Systems have announced they are Australia’s first specialised Industrial and Process Fan Engineering Company to be accepted as a member of the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA International).

AMCA International are a not-for-profit association of the world's manufacturers of fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, air flow measurement devices, ducts, acoustic attenuators and other air system components.

Originally founded in the United States, AMCA is now represented internationally, with over 360 member companies in 34 countries representing more than $3billion in annual revenue. Asia AMCA operates out of Malaysia and European AMCA operates out of Brussels. A Middle East AMCA is in the process of formation, and it will operate out of Dubai.

Since its inception in 1917, AMCA’s mission has always been “to advance the health, growth and integrity of our industry,” – as one of the founding members of the Fan Manufacturers Association of Australia and New Zealand (FMAANZ), this is a mission closely shared and represented by The Morse Group.

“To become members of the AMCA was a long and involved process” said Christopher Morse, General Manager Morse Air Systems. “This included site audits from AMCA representatives from overseas, as well as documenting our ability to comply with the strict membership codes. We look forward to the many benefits membership will bring our customers, and working with the association and other members on opportunities to influence industry standards and regulation” he added.

The AMCA provides thought leadership and a consensus voice to code councils and regulatory bodies, including the International Standards Organisation (ISO), and International Code Council (ICC).

AMCA Certificate

What does an AMCA Membership mean for our customers?

AMCA Standards are trusted worldwide; and they have remained the international Authority on Air Systems and Components since 1917.

AMCA International's Certified Ratings Program (CRP) is one of the most important functions of the Association. The purpose of the CRP is to give the buyer, specifier, and end user of Air Movement and Control Equipment assurance that our published ratings are reliable and accurate.

With the development in Australia of the Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) for Fans and expected upcoming legislation, a certified ratings program will soon become necessary.

As an AMCA International Member, Morse Air Systems will be in a position to offer our customers access to the AMCA International CRP, and Fan Efficiency Grade (FEG) Program.
